| While working in DC from 1998 to 2005 Bob Andrew was quite active in
federal collaboration with intergovernmental communities in GSA's
monthly "
Collaborative
Expedition Workshop" at NSF and the ensuing
Communities of Practice supported
by a Portal, Wiki, Community Forum & Repository.
From 1995-1998 he was Project Manager of
Mobil Corp's GENIE Global EHS Network Info. Enabler). He first
worked to define needs in the new Mobil Global Professional Services
organization to align EH&S "Management
Systems" across E&P, Transportation, Refining, Chemicals, and
Distribution. Defined 9 core functionalities supported by "GENIE",
contracted skilled developers to write GENIE framework and modules,
starting with "Issues Management". GENIE architecture
then became the
model for "BestNet" for doing Best Practice "knowledge sharing" across
all Exxon-Mobil.
This work resulted in being an invited collaborative solutions
presenter at LotuSphere 1998, and published as a
white paper,
entitled "
Knowledge Management Across the Global Manufacturing Network using Lotus Notes &
Domino" by
Benchmarking Partners. |
