The Company History
Petrofac's founders came from Howe-Baker in Tyler, TX. The company is now headquartered in London, listed on the stock exchange, with 11,000 people world-wide.  They take seriously their community, people, safety, security, asset integrity and environment responsibilities.

It has Operational centers in Aberdeen, Woking in the U.K, and in Sharjah, UAE, with design support centers in Mumbai and Chennai, India. Offshore Services provides Engineering and Operations Services. Petrofac offers Training Services, co-invests in Energy Development, provides production improvement services - see Case Studies and Image Library for highlights of their projects and services.

Engineering & Construction
E&C in Sharjah represents the majority of the revenue, with income fluctuations smoothed out by revenues from Petrofac oil & gas fields, such as the Don development in the North Sea.

The E&C group has now split off Petrofac Ventures. Their Abu Dhabi office is for "Petrofac Emirates" work in Abu Dhabi and in Saudi Arabia.

HSE Design in Sharjah
Their 35-person HSE Design group - headed up by Raj Kochar - is within Engineering Services.

Bob's role in this group includes risk identification at bid proposal stage, HSE peer reviews of projects in progress, plus being an HSE Lead within a project task force.

Major Petrofac Projects
The core of E&C work is in lump sum onshore oil & gas capital projects in Middle East and CIS.
